Solvetted · Site information
Privacy, clearly explained.
A plain-English summary of how Solvetted handles information today. A full privacy policy, reviewed by a lawyer, will be published before accounts or installer introductions launch.
Your assessment stays in your browser
Your bill figures and preferences are calculated in your browser tab. We send your postcode and requested services to our server to check installer availability; we do not store that matching request as a lead. If you choose a PDF bill or a smart-meter (NEM12) file, it is read inside your browser tab and is not uploaded either; meter data is never put in a share link. Answers in a saved result link can be restored on refresh. If you print or save your results as a PDF, that copy is yours. If you use “Save or share link”, your answers are written into the web address after the # symbol; browsers don’t send that part to our servers, but anyone you share the link with can read your answers.
If you join the pilot list
If you choose to join the homeowner pilot list, we store your email, optional first name, postcode, solar status, main goal, the option you were considering and a reference to your assessment. We do not store your bill figures. We also record the exact wording you agreed to and when. We use this only to tell you when installer introductions open in your area, and to send updates only if you ticked that separate box.
If you ask for an introduction
Where we have verified coverage in Australia, you can ask us to introduce you to a local installer; we name the installer on the request form before you agree. We then store your name, email, phone, postcode, contact preference and the brief you saw and approved, and send them to that installer only. We record the wording you agreed to, what the installer reports about the request, and your answers if you tell us how it went, so we can check introductions are handled properly and work out the fee the installer pays us. You can withdraw from the link in your confirmation email; we then tell the installer not to contact you about it and to delete your details. Introduction records are kept for up to 24 months.
Installer pilot applications
If an installer applies for the pilot, we store the business and contact details they provide to assess and contact them about the pilot.
Installers never see your details unless you ask
Nothing is shared with any installer without a separate request from you that names the installer and shows what they will receive. Your original bill is never attached.
Improving the quote journey
We count calculator results viewed and quote requests started by tool and day. These counts contain no visitor identifier, bill figures, postcode or contact details, and use no analytics cookies. We respect browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Requests still pass through our hosting provider, which may keep ordinary security and access logs. Submitted enquiries record their source tool so we can compare lead outcomes and recorded referral fees.
Optional campaign measurement
If you arrive through a recognised campaign link, we hold only its approved campaign label and landing-page path in memory during this page session. We use no cookies or browser storage for this, and do not collect raw ad parameters, click IDs or referrer addresses. Only if you tick the optional campaign-measurement box on an introduction form do we save those labels with your enquiry and the wording you agreed to. They are not included in the installer email. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable this attribution. Reloading or closing the page can lose the label. Labels are kept with the enquiry for up to 24 months. We also record when an installer reports a sales stage; this is not proof of the date an installation happened.
Your choices
You can ask us to remove your pilot-list details at any time using the contact page. Records are reviewed for deletion after 12 months.
